We grieve the ongoing violence and loss of life in Israel-Palestine. With our partners from Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) we invite you to take urgent action by calling your senators to ask them to support a Senate resolution that would block another large sale of precision-guided weapons by the United States to Israel.

A resolution of disapproval for the weapons sale has been introduced in the House and will soon be introduced in the Senate. It is urgent that our senators hear from us that we support the blockage of this weapons sale. A large portion of the weapons in the sale are of the kind being used in the attacks against civilians in Gaza. Many organizations working for peace and human rights are supporting this resolution to help end the ongoing bombings and deaths of civilians and promote a just peace.

I am calling to ask you to co-sponsor the Joint Resolution of Disapproval to stop the pending sale of $735 million in Joint Direct Attack Munitions to Israel.
As a person of faith, I mourn the loss of lives in Israel-Palestine this past month. I am concerned that sending additional weapons of this kind to Israel at this time will only bring about further suffering and death.
Right now, Congress and the Biden administration need to be doing everything they can to ensure the United States helps bring about an end to the violence and promote long-term peace. I implore you to support the Joint Resolution of Disapproval to help further these goals.
