The Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns promotes peace and addresses root causes of conflict in different regions of the world, such as Colombia, Darfur and Iraq. We also work on related issues including poverty, the arms trade, rising military spending, nonproliferation of nuclear weapons and the International Criminal Court. The office advocates for constructive change in U.S. foreign policy through steps such as meeting State Department personnel, engaging in public hearings and visiting lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
